Her big break happened in 1983 when she released a single that took the number one spot on several music charts. After that, she faced a big problem because Mercury Records was forcing her to do another genre that she was not fond of. She also began disliking how the company was managing her. Those were the reasons why she decided to transfer to another music company which turned out to be MCA Nashville Records. “Just a Little Love” was the very first single that she recorded with MCA.

Months after working with MCA Nashville Records, Reba was still not satisfied with how her career was doing, but she was undoubtedly happy by how MCA was managing her. She recorded an album that contained two songs which took the number one spot in music charts. The album was titled “My Kind of Country”. That was the very moment when she got satisfied with her career and realized that she was doing well in the industry.
