The siblings became really famous in their town as they performed in different places such as local rodeos, bars, and dance halls. Months after realising that they could compose their original song, they released a record dedicated to their beloved grandmother which was titled “John McEntire”. Thousands of records were sold. After their first record’s success, they released other songs such as “God Never Cried” and “If I Could Only Be With You”. The McEntires performed their original songs at several events.

A Lesson For A Lifetime
Reba learned one of the greatest lessons someone had ever taught her from her mother. When they were on the way to a performance that was about to be held in a dance hall in their town, Reba asked her mother for permission if she could encourage everyone, who would be watching them perform, to go to church on Sunday. Her mother did not directly reject her idea, but instead, she said, “You don’t know what other people do. You don’t know their heart”. That made Reba realize that not all people were the same – not everyone had the same beliefs with one another.
