Her father, Clark McEntire, engaged himself in steer roping and was even crowned as a 3-time World Champion Steer Roper. On the other hand, Reba got all of her musical skills from her mother, Jacqueline Smith, who had always wanted to pursue her dreams of being a country singer – well, due to some personal reasons, she did not succeed in becoming a country musician. Still, she became a school teacher, and she was pleased about that as she had the chance to help her community.

Let me give you a fascinating fact about Reba McEntire that I am a hundred percent sure you did not know about. She learned how to drive at a very young age and when I said “a very young age”, it was not 14, it was not 10, it was not 8 – she learned how to drive at the age of 5. She said that she had to learn to drive at a very young age for her to be able to help the family with their duties on the ranch. I know you are amazed right now and just for the record, I am surprised, too. Reba McEntire is simply a fantastic person!
