Loresca started her career as a news associate at KCBS-TV in Los Angeles, where she was in charge of assembling scripts and operating teleprompters during the newscasts. She was the noon weather anchor and assignment editor for KGET-TV at Bakersfield, California, from January 2001 until August 2002.
