For Crosby, it was not difficult to trust and befriend other animals. This was evident in the way that the dog and cat next door grew close to him. The trio has stood up to all sorts of antics for almost eight years. However, all of a sudden, his two best friends died, one after the other. It was unfortunate for their owner to lose his two pets in rapid succession. He hasn’t been the only one. Also, Crosby was devastated.

Companionship
Pets love companionship, which is what they value-it is one of their existence’s purposes. They, too, feel sad when a pet loses this; they feel the grievance just as much as a human would. It is only natural that Crosby would be a little down, but this was not necessarily the rationale for his actions.
