Soon after Joe found the massive amount of cash, things began to take a scary turn. At first, he was amazed and thought the find was the stuff that dreams are made of. However, things quickly became a living nightmare. That night, Joe lay in bed with so many questions racing through his mind. Who had hidden the money in the storage container? After Joe consulted with his friends, he learned that in California, the delinquent tenant no longer owned the contents of a unit once it had been sold. Therefore, Joe had full rights to anything in the unit. He had bought it fair and square, after all. However, the man who used to own the storage unit wasn’t backing down that easily. Perhaps he believed that the money found in the unit belonged to him.
