Even though Wally thought that his wife was kidding, she turned out to be right. The couple spoke to a vet, who informed them that it was a lightweight anti-tank weapon or a mortar from either Vietnam or Korea. The authorities went tear to carry the torpedo away. People apparently kept them as souvenirs.
