A Few Fun Days
“Well, I suppose their mother will be coming for them soon. But in the meantime… we could look after them, couldn’t we?” offered John thoughtfully. Fiona immediately agreed, and over the next few days, the couple looked after the little animals, making sure they always had enough food and water, and playing with them whenever they had the chance. The lively, mischievous kittens filled the barn with life and laughter – much to Fiona and John’s delight.

No mother cat
The days passed without any trace of the mother cat, and after a few weeks, John and Fiona had to face the facts: she would probably never return. In this region, where many wild animals roamed, it was possible that she had been injured or worse. Fiona, with a heavy heart, turned to her husband and asked softly: “What do we do now? Do you still want to keep them?”
