Men in suits
The morning sun bathed the farmhouse in a soft glow when it was suddenly eclipsed by two unfamiliar figures. Two men, with closed faces and dressed in impeccably tailored suits, stood at the entrance. Their badges glinted in the first light as they introduced themselves: “Federal Agents Smith and Ramirez.” John and Fiona exchanged worried glances. The familiar calm of the countryside had been shattered, replaced by the cold tension of an official visit whose gravity they already sensed.

The interrogation begins
In the living room, the atmosphere is heavy and silent as the agents open their notebooks. “We’ve had reports of unusual kittens on this property,” says Agent Smith in a measured tone. Fiona swallows with difficulty, her fingers intertwining nervously in her lap. Agent Ramirez looks up, his gaze piercing. “What exactly do you know about them?” he asks. John and Fiona exchange a brief glance, searching their words carefully, aware that each answer could seal their fate – and that of the kittens they’re protecting.
