Kristopher checked whether his father was there before they went on with the plan. The answer was no. Therefore he emptied his savings to buy fireworks. “To be fair, I have had nothing but bad experiences with fireworks, so I had no idea how this would be any different,” he said. “We got home with the fireworks, and we laid them all out on the floor; Sparklers, Bottle Rockets, Cakes, and Roman Candles.”
