There are plenty of people, however, who did not think that the story could have been real. The post did not mention the name of the girls, post any photos, or add police reports. They claimed that there should be some kind of proof it truly happened. For some people, however, this did not matter at all.

Other people countered by saying that there was no reason for anyone to make up a story like that. On top of that, the story came with a good lesson. However, a lot of people relented by saying that Tom clearly did not think the whole thing through. Luckily for him, it all worked out in the end.
