He may be well-known for his movies that have yielded notable mentions and awards, but Spike Lee, as a person, doesn’t get rave reviews. This is likely because of stories that have been passed around throughout the years, mentioning his quite unmotivating speeches at colleges. According to these stories, he even calls some “rednecks” and “racists.” At other times, Lee left way before he was scheduled to end, rendering students with questions speechless.
