In her position as Duchess of Cambridge, Kate and the British royal family have been commemorating the fallen soldiers of the two world wars. The so-called Remembrance Day shows the Royals and especially the otherwise radiant Kate from a very thoughtful, introverted side. Kate also keeps a low profile when it comes to outfits, choosing a dark coat by Alexander McQueen with contrasting shoulder details with fringes, mother-of-pearl buttons, a raised collar, and three of the so-called Remembrance Poppies. The poppy flower that Kate wears on her coat has been a symbol of the innumerable and nameless victims of the wars since 1920. Pearl earrings and a black fascinator by Philip Treacy complete Kate’s elegant look.

Duchess Catherine and Prince William stand in front of the camera for the “Pride of Britain” awards. The annual award ceremony honors Brits who have mastered challenging situations and have shown courage. The couple thanked the heroic National Health Service staff who “risked their lives to help others” during the corona pandemic on behalf of the nation. The blue silk blouse that she wears under her elegant trouser suit comes from the London label Lisou and is adorned with small rainbows. During the corona pandemic, these are a symbol of hope and solidarity should the health system employees signal support.
