In July 2011, Prince William and Kate attended a cocktail party at the Los Angeles residence of the Consul-General of the United Kingdom. It was the second thing on the couple’s itinerary during the USA leg of their royal tour. The pair also went to a business summit in Beverley Hills earlier that day. The Mayor and the Governor of California welcomed them with open arms. There were other famous faces present at the party such as football player David Beckham.

Prince William and Prince Harry honored their late mother Princess Diana by visiting her memorial garden at Kensington Palace a day before her 20th death anniversary. Kate Middleton also joined the brothers on a tour of the Sunken Garden, which got converted into the White Garden in the memory of Diana. The Duchess of Cambridge picked an elegant green tea-length dress from Prada, which came with long sleeves and a high neck. The members of the royal family were guided on a walk around the grounds and indicated the flowers that Diana loved, from white roses to lilies.
