Do you know Faith Hill? Back in the early 90s, Faith Hill used to audition for a position as one of Reba McEntire’s backup singers during her performances and concerts. Well, it seemed like Hill was still not that prepared to be a backup singer, so her application was denied. Little did Reba know that Faith Hill was about to be a very successful singer in the future just like her. If you are wondering about the person who got her position, it was Paula Kay Evans. Years after working with McEntire, Evans tragically passed away due to a plane crash that happened in the middle of 1991.

In one of the interviews that Faith Hill participated in, she shared her experience of auditioning to be a part of Reba McEntire’s backup singers. She admitted that she was really disappointed at herself as she got rejected by McEntire, but she eventually realized that she was just not that trained as a singer yet. That rejection played a huge part in becoming the Faith Hill that millions of people love and adore today – she used it as a motivation to work harder every single time.
