During 2014, Reba McEntire was already about to achieve one of her biggest dreams – to become a part of the Country Music Hall of Fame. However, a sudden incident happened and that had forbidden her to be inducted in the Hall of Fame – her father, Clark McEntire unexpectedly had a stroke and eventually fell into a coma. It was a devastating moment for the singer slash artist. What became more devastating was the fact that the whole McEntire family had to let go of him as he passed away in October that year. That really crushed Reba’s heart into pieces. Well, thanks to Dolly Parton, she still became a part of the Country Music Hall of Fame – Parton did everything on her behalf.

It was like a replay of what happened with her band members. The only difference was the fact that it was her father who passed away – a person who had always been there by her side ever since she was born. That was why it was very hard to let go and move on. To always remember her father, she recorded and released a song dedicated to him. The song’s title was “Just Like Them Horses”. It was a very sincere and emotional song – the whole world felt how devastated and sad the country singer was due to her sudden loss.
