When you get word that someone is in trouble, you have two options: you can either get involved and try to help in some way, or you can ignore it and get on with your day. Some people like to think that they would be those who jump in and help, but that’s not always the case. Moments like these sometimes trigger our fight or flight mode. Most people would have avoided interfering in this situation. Not these teens, however.

Arnaud Nimenya, Starlyn Rives-Perez, Carsyn Wright, and James Hielema were out spending some time together at the skate park as they would any other night. The four boys decided to meet up in the underground parking lot for a night filled with skating fun. When it started getting late, the Canadian teens knew it was time to call it a night and head home.

However, when they caught sight of a girl and two older men approaching the parking garage, things shifted. The teens took notice of how disoriented and upset the girl seemed to be. On top of that, the two older men were behaving in a rather forceful manner. Things didn’t seem right.
