Valerie decided to go to the hospital to see what was going on. As she sat in the waiting room, a hundred questions were running through her mind. She tried to compose herself by taking a deep breath. “Everything is going to be ok,” she told herself. Sadly, she turned out to be wrong about that.

She Was Heartbroken
She waited as the doctors conducted checks and scans on her. She was a bundle of nerves throughout the entire process. The entire time, she hoped that nothing was wrong. After some time, the doctors had her results at last. They told her that the umbilical cord must have gotten compressed, so there was no way for the fetus to obtain the oxygen and nutrients it needed. This meant that she lost the baby.
