An Emotional Job
It is not easy to be a surrogate mother. You can expect it to be emotionally draining. When she decided to take on the job, her family was not sure about this. Her husband did not know if she could take how taxing it could be. Jessica promised him that she was in a good enough headspace to cut the emotional ties involved with the pregnancy. However, she would soon find out that this was easier said than done.

To say the least, Wardell was not happy with the news. Jessica might have said that she could keep her personal feelings out of it, but he knew her. She loved their kids a lot, so he worried that she would also bond with the baby. On top of that, he was not happy that they would not sleep with each other until she was officially pregnant. Once she was expecting, the ultrasound had a surprise for them.
