The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005)
To no one’s surprise, we have another Judd Apatow masterpiece on the list. This film pretty much made Steve Carrell the star that he now is. Did you know that he co-wrote it as well? The movie might have gotten a bit slow at certain points, but the whole journey was hilarious. We also have to give credit to the other cast members such as Romany Malco, Jane Lynch, Seth Rogen, and Paul Rudd for that! In our humble opinion, the painful chest hair waxing scene is one of the greatest comedy scenes in film history.

This movie showed us that women can also be raunchy, edgy, and totally inappropriately hilarious. Kristen Wiig and the rest of the crew did not pull any punches and made us laugh until our bellies hurt. It is clear that women can do comedy just as well as, if not better than, men. Viewers adored watching the unlucky Annie. Melissa McCarthy as the vulgar and over-the-top Megan was amazing as well. We are not at all surprised when it was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.
